As storytellers it has been inspiring to witness and document how the best often comes from the worst, how people are waking up in this time of global reckoning and realising that our connections with each other are some of the most important things we have.

We're witnessing local communities stepping up and stepping in to support each other. We’re also witnessing entrepreneurs and founders drawing back the curtains hosting live webinars to discuss their personal journey as well as the highs and the lows of building successful brands.

Naturally, it’s become a time of change. Many systems are becoming obsolete and being reinvented, with most of us being forced to look at the process, breaking it down, tweaking it and getting rid of the unnecessary. During this time of global reckoning, we look to our industry leaders and local businesses for inspiration, learning from their transparency, honesty and skills. If you’re not showcasing these elements, either internally or externally, and instead focusing on how quickly you can get back to ‘normal, how can you expect to come out unscathed?

Stories are one of the most powerful means we have to influence, teach, and inspire. They have the power to forge connections between people and ideas. Think about it, we carry out our everyday rituals and routines according to the stories and people we most believe in, and these days the story is changing quicker than ever before. Ask yourself whether or not you are adapting to this because people want to know what you’ve got to say. Where it goes from there is up to you…
