Matt Porteous revealed as Royal Photographer

Jersey based photographer Matt Porteous has been revealed as the official photographer selected by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to photograph Prince George to mark his third birthday. 

"Animals have come to mean so much in our lives. We live in a fragmented and disconnected culture. Politics are ugly, religion is struggling, technology is stressful, and the economy is unfortunate. What's one thing that we have in our lives that we can depend on? A dog or a cat loving us unconditionally, every day, very faithfully." 

A collection of underwater images, captured with studio, high speed sync from Elinchrom, and video light we focused on movement, the beauty of dance and the raw expression of wrestling. Personal projects by Matt Porteous and Googsi alongside Getty creative, Elinchrom and the Flash Centre. 

Explore our multifaceted world of oceans, above and below the surface. Develop connections between people and the oceans. Share knowledge and experiences, through emotive stories and images, of all that threatens and enhances the oceans. Conserve our oceanic environment by capturing images of its reality. Capture the truths, beauty and simplicity of people and places, connected with the ocean. Educate in order to impact positively on shorelines and on marine life.
