Matt Porteous was invited aboard M/Y Daydream to explore the adventurous side of luxury motor yacht travel. With experience photographing yachts before, the owners asked Matt and Tom van Oossanen, a filmmaker, to capture the essence of what guests will experience when hopping aboard the 42m vessel.
Available for charter in Scandinavia and The Baltic Sea, the guests were taken on the ultimate Northern adventure, getting outdoors and gaining access to extreme sports with fully trained professionals.
The Norwegian Fjords offer a perfect, stunning backdrop for the yacht can cruise elegantly through the crisp waters which provide the perfect base for water sports and enjoying time out on deck. The staggering, craggy cliff faces stand tall against the crisp, clear sky; Scandinavia is the perfect place to spend time outside and do all the incredible activities in the freshest air.
Activities include hiking, fishing, canoeing, and Matt even hiked to the top of a huge hill to attempt some gliding - which was unsuccessful due to the wind direction and lack of gusts. Tom, the other videographer, was actually lost for a short while as the wind took him in the wrong direction!
Additional activities are endless, such as helicopter rides, summer skiing and salmon safaris. There is even a hot tub onboard for when your skin begins to feel the chill of the Norwegian fjords - the perfect place to relax with a glass of champagne and absorb the amazing surroundings, this yacht offers it all.
Welcoming people of any age, packages onboard M/Y Daydream are bespoke to each and every client, bearing their desires and requirements in mind, as well as their family and friends. Ten guests are welcome onboard, with seven crew to accommodate and make everyone feel at home, from the comfortable interiors and activities, to the amazing food which was delicious and beautifully presented, with unbelievable service from the engaging, passionate crew.
Matt loved his time cruising the fjords, and is beyond appreciative of these opportunities that come along in the most unexpected moments, and the people he is lucky enough to connect and engage with whilst doing what he loves so much.
